CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Janis Doucette called a local pool cleaning company to get an estimate on getting her pool ready for summer. The $80 per week estimate just didn’t work for her, so she started to research and learned how to clean a pool herself.

“You can’t stop people from coming, but you can do what you can to keep it as clean and comfortable as possible,” said Doucette, a 53-year-old nurse from Charleston.

Turns out, she can do more than her share.

By some estimates, as many as 50 million U.S. residents engage in regular outdoor swimming, according to the American Osteopathic Association. Swimming is a great way to stay fit, de-stress and meet new people, especially in the summertime when social situations may be fewer. But for many, the cost of maintaining a properly-maintained pool, with chlorine levels at optimum levels, isn’t cheap. And that’s a problem when as many as one-third of pools don’t comply with federal making sure pools are safe from damage. In case if you need try these Swimming Pool Services

For those who are owners of a pool or who are considering buying a home with a pool, it’s a good time to make sure your property has a properly installed pool filter.
